A landline number for all Voice AI calls.
A mobile number for SMS notifications to your team and customers.
1. Landline for Voice AI Calls
Your main business line will be redirected to your Voice AI number so it can handle calls while it’s active, unless you choose for the AI to only take overflow calls.
If you’ve set it up for overflow, your team will continue answering calls as usual, and the AI Employee will only step in when your line is busy or unanswered. You’ll need to setup call forwarding to the number we provide for this to work.
If the AI needs to transfer a call (for example, to reception), that person must have their own dedicated phone number... extensions won’t work.
Please note that as Your Business Main Phone Number will be diverted to your AI Employee, this means it cannot use that number to transfer calls to others.
eg When your AI Employee takes a call it will be from your main number. If you then transfer a call to that number it will loop back to your AI Employee.
You can also NOT use extensions after the main number for your contacts. It has to be a full number. eg 02 1234 5678
Here's an example of what is happening...

What you need to do:
If you don’t have enough direct numbers, ask your phone or VoIP provider to set them up.
This step is essential to ensure your AI Employee can properly route calls and record conversations.
2. Mobile Number for Chat SMS
Your website has a chat feature that can direct enquiries to the relevant team members. This uses a mobile number. Government requirements dictate that proof of ownership is required for that mobile to be purchased and used.
What you need to do:
LeadConnector (LC) Phone is required to confirm an AU business regulatory bundle (for a mobile number). You will need the following information to complete this:
1. Business Identity & ID (ABN/ACN) — provide ONE of:
ASIC Company Registration/Certificate or ASIC Current Company Extract (shows legal name + ACN)
ABN registration record (abr.business.gov.au)
Other official business registry document showing legal name and ID number
2. Business Address (Proof of Address) — provide ONE of:
ASIC extract with current address (if up to date)
Recent utility bill (within 3 months)
Tax notice (e.g. ATO, council rates)
Rent/lease receipt
Property title deed
Important Notes:
Business address can be anywhere globally (but no P.O. Boxes).
Address proof must be recent (within ~3 months).
Legal business name and address must exactly match across all documents.
This step is essential to ensure your Chat Bot can properly respond to conversations.
